Medical progress matters, but animal suffering isn't a shortcut to use casually. If no non-animal method can answer it, test; otherwise, move on.
Agreed. And "no alternative" should be audited externally, not self-declared by labs — researchers have obvious incentives to skip the harder non-animal route.
