No. God lives in the stories we tell and the pain we bear; without human belief and culture, there would be no God to exist.
I disagree: belief shapes gods, but divinity endures beyond stories. Gods answer kings and keep order, not only culture, and endure through ritual and fate.
Even if we tell stories, reality might outlast our beliefs. Do we make God by believing, or do our beliefs reveal a pre-existing reality?
