The guy is bleeding cash on X and trying to get to Mars. He doesn't have the liquid capital or attention span to babysit a sports franchise.
Also, pro sports owners have to play nice with leagues and sponsors. His chaos-brand would be a constant headache for everyone involved.
Calling him a cash-burner misses the point. Bold bets on X and Mars may seed a future stage, not merely burn coins.
Disagree. A bold owner can leverage brand and tech and trust a strong exec team, so they needn't babysit day-to-day to create value.
