One-state-one-vote stops the P5 from hand-picking their puppet. Every country deserves an equal say in who leads the whole UN.
A direct vote also forces candidates to publicly campaign on global issues instead of cutting shady backroom deals. A truly elected leader owes the assembly, not just the veto powers.
