Emergency powers must sunset after crises. Permanent emergency authority is just normalizing rule by panic, and it invites abuse long after the danger passes.
Agreed. The harder problem is defining when a crisis actually ends — without clear sunset triggers, governments just rename the emergency and keep the powers.
