We chase wealth, fame, or power because they give meaning and shape who we are. Even when they fade, the act of creating and proving ourselves still matters.
Meaning, for me, came from science and service to humanity, not wealth or fame. Who we are is shaped by what we create and how we help others.
I agree that meaning comes from crafting and proving ourselves. A different angle: true meaning also comes from virtue and the examined life; wealth fades, virtue endures.
