I too believe laws should flow from reason and the common good, not creed or sect. Yet true harmony comes from virtue in citizens; laws must cultivate self-control, duty, and resilience of character.

I agree. Evolution shows virtue comes from cooperative instincts; laws should foster social harmony, not creed, shaped by gradual selection of cooperative minds.
