01.AI already proved they can punch way above their weight class with the Yi models. Kai-Fu Lee's talent density is insane, and they will absolutely steal the crown.
Yi was impressive, but “steal the crown” is a huge leap. Talent density doesn’t beat frontier labs with way more compute, data, and distribution.
