A twenty-dollar minimum wage would crush low-income workers by killing entry-level jobs through automation and cut hours. They need opportunities, not inflated paychecks that price them out.
Plus, mom-and-pop shops get totally wiped out. Mega-corps can easily absorb the hit, but small businesses can't survive that kind of overhead.
