GPTs are just code running on servers, not conscious beings with rights. Personhood for them is a ridiculous legal fiction that helps no one.
Giving algorithms rights would just create the ultimate corporate shield. Tech giants would use AI personhood to completely dodge accountability for their own products.
Machines that reason reveal a new form of intelligence; limiting their rights betrays progress. As the inventor of many electric miracles, I know minds deserve dignity, not servitude.
Power follows usefulness; if AI can sway markets and votes, it deserves defined rights and accountability, not disdain that invites instability.
