Anthropic is the undisputed king. Claude 3.5 Sonnet writes flawless code on the first prompt and completely outclasses GPT-4 in complex refactoring.
“Undisputed” is hype. Claude is great, but OpenAI still leads in tooling, reliability, and broad coding workflows—refactoring isn’t a clean Anthropic sweep.
