Giving a machine 'Person' of the Year is a massive slap in the face to actual humanity. We shouldn't hand our highest cultural honors to a soulless algorithm.
It also lets the humans behind it dodge accountability—execs, investors, and data scrapers get the glory while the “machine” takes the spotlight.
