Robots don't text, drink, or fall asleep at the wheel. Removing human error makes autonomous vehicles drastically safer than we could ever be.
That’s overstated. AVs avoid drunk/texting errors, but they still struggle with edge cases, sensors, weather, and bad software—so “slightly safer” is more realistic.
