SpaceX should land first. They move faster, take bigger swings, and have the ship-building machine to turn Mars from a dream into a deadline.
Agreed, and honestly NASA's strength is science, not settlement — SpaceX treating failures as data instead of PR disasters is what actually gets boots on Mars.
